Castaway Ceramics single person studio in the mountains of Idaho. I Like to focus on flowing patterns, and nerdy illustration. I hope you find something that brings you joy and gets well used.
After spending years as a research scientist, I decided I wanted to make a change in my life. Rather than just toiling away in a lab, I wanted to make things for people to use and enjoy in their lives. I started taking some pottery lessons in 2020, and have been happily practicing away at home Since then. I am now very excited to share my work with you, and I hope to provide something that can brighten your home, and inject some positivity into your day when you use it. I like my art to be functional, but to still evoke a sense of joy.

Castaway Ceramics is a small home pottery studio born out of the desire to find peace during the days of lockdown. In troubled times, it is important to slow down and find your peace, and this is what pottery has been to me. Working with my hands to build functional art pieces has been an incredibly gratifying process, and I am happy to now be able to share the fruits of this labor of love with you all.
